During 2020, the Chem-MAP team have certified over 2,000 chemicals to ZDHC MRSL V2.0, ensuring chemical substances used in textiles, apparel, footwear, leather, rubber, foam, and adhesives meet the updated ZDHC standard.
ZDHC MRSL V2.0 will replace ZDHC MRSL V1.1 and companies previously certified to level V1.1 are advised to adopt V2.0 to be certified on the Gateway. Due to the recent climate, disrupted supply chains and industry convergence, ZDHC have now extended this deadline to the 1st April 2021 (previously 31st December 2020).
In summary:
ZDHC MRSL 2.0 goes beyond the traditional approaches to chemical restrictions, which only applies to finished products. Chemical formulations covered by restrictions in the ZDHC MRSL V2.0 include but not limited to cleaners, adhesives, paints, inks, detergents, dyes, colourants, auxiliaries, coatings and finishing agents used during raw material production, wet processing, process machinery maintenance, wastewater treatment, sanitation, and pest control.
