Module 1: Chemical Management Audit

The Eurofins | Chem-MAP Team will conduct an independent on-site audit of the brand’s or retailer’s chemical management systems. This audit focuses on chemical management processes and the effectiveness of their implementation in the brand’s or retailer’s supply chain.

The Chem-MAP Chemical Management Audit includes but is not limited to, areas such as:

  • Supplier Management
  • Material Procurement
  • Testing Programmes and Corrective Actions
  • Training of Staff and Supply Chain on Margins Chemistry
  • Auditing of the Supply Chain
  • Future Proofing

Module 2: Benchmarking and Gap Analysis

This module is designed to help brands and retailers develop best practices and implement chemical management policies through benchmarking and gap analysis activities.

The Eurofins | Chem-MAP Team will carry out a thorough benchmarking of the brand’s or retailer’s Restricted Substance List (RSL) and Manufacturing Restricted Substance List (MRSL) against industry leaders, as well as best practice guidelines.

Upon completion of the Chem-MAP® audit and benchmarking exercise, our chemical experts will provide the brand or retailer with:

  • A comprehensive audit report detailing key findings from the audit, as well as recommendations and actions for improvement
  • A Chem-MAP® Score ranging from ‘Engaged’ to ‘Leader’

Eurofins | Chem-MAP Scores

Each company that completes the Chem-MAP programme receives a score that ranges from ‘Engaged’ at entry level to ‘Leader’ for companies with more developed chemical management systems.

Re-Auditing

The Chemical Management Audit is valid for 1 year, with annual re-audits conducted to maintain your company’s Chem-MAP score.

Companies can increase their Chem-MAP scores through measured improvements in their annual audit.

Completing the Eurofins | Chem-MAP Programme gives your company the opportunity to demonstrate commitment to responsible chemical inputs into materials and products by communicating your Chem-MAP score to consumers and stakeholders.
