Global chemical supplier LANXESS is engaged with the Chem-MAP® programme with the goal of achieving ZDHC Conformance Level 3 for all Gateway listed chemicals through the Chemical Manufacturers route.
To be part of ZDHC Conformance Level 3 the organisation must undergo three modules:
Module 1: MRSL Testing
Module 2: Chemical Management Audit
Module 3: Chemical Supply Chain Transparency
LANXESS has recently undergone their first chemical management audit at their primary Leverkusen site in Germany.
LANXESS has a number of chemical manufacturing sites globally and will be continuing with the auditing of additional sites over the coming months and into 2019. The assessment of multiple sites is viewed positively, by minimising risk and supporting responsible chemistry within supply chains and further improving the management of chemical risk.
Chem-MAP assessments for multiple sites will be further recognised in the overall Chem-MAP Programme awards system.
Credits are awarded for each of three modules, click here to view the awards and grades for modules 1, 2 and3.
