Module 1 consists of a series of online training and assessment modules. These modules are aimed at providing education to technicians who handle chemicals at manufacturing facilities, to enable them to develop their understanding of the principles and practices of responsible chemical management within a manufacturing facility.
Manufacturers of Products and Materials online training consists of 8 modules, these include:
1. An Introduction to Chem-MAP® & Chemical Management
2. Understanding Safety Data Sheets
3. RSL and MRSL
4. Setting up a Chemical Inventory Log (CIL)
5. Responsible Chemical Procurement
6. Chemical Handling and Health & Safety
7. Chemical Storage and Waste Management
8. Wastewater Management
Through successful completion of the online training modules and assessments, technicians can be awarded Chem-MAP® Approved Technician (CAT) status. There are two CAT levels that are achievable:
